We Get It Because We Live It

We built rotera.io because we were tired of juggling a dozen apps just to get through the day. As freelancers ourselves, we know what it’s like to lose track of billable hours, forget what clients actually said in meetings, and spend more time managing tools than doing actual work.

The lightbulb moment
It started when we realized we were all having the same conversations.

“Did you remember to start your timer?”
“Which version of that file did we send?”
“Wait, what did they decide about the deadline?”

We were good at what we did, but terrible at keeping track of it all.

The final straw came during a client call where we promised deliverables we couldn’t remember later. That awkward follow-up email asking them to repeat everything?

Yeah, we’ve all been there.

Building what we needed
So we built rotera.io—not as some grand business vision, but because we desperately needed it ourselves. Every feature exists because one of us got frustrated with losing details, forgetting to track time, or scrambling to find files.

We’re still freelancers.

We still use rotera.io every day to run our own businesses.
